Summer Reading Program 2023

This year's Summer Reading Program theme is "Find Your Voice!"
 
The Allen Memorial Library is gearing up for this year’s Summer Reading Program (SRP), taking place June 10 to July 22.
A Kick Off Party for the program will take place at the Allen Memorial Library on Thursday, June 8. Miss Louisiana 2022, Gracie Reichman, will be in attendance.
 
Patrons can register at SRP in person or online at https://allenmemorial.beanstack.org beginning Friday, June 9.
Eligible customers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in this free 6-week event!

Summer Reading Program Guidelines & Schedule

Sign up in person or online at https://allenmemorial.beanstack.org starting Wednesday, June 5th to receive a registration prize while supplies last. 

&Begin tracking minutes spent reading, in the Beanstack app or online at https://allenmemorial.beanstack.org the same day, June 5th. 

&All ages read 300 minutes, about five hours, per week. Each reading week starts on Saturday and ends on Friday. Prize pick up begins the next day, Saturday. Reading weeks and their prizes are listed in the Reading Incentives Chart. 

&You can read or listen to any type of book, but it must be at or above your reading level. 

&Log 300 minutes before coming to the library to claim your prize.  

&Only one prize will be awarded per person, per week, while supplies last. 

& You can claim prizes from previous weeks, but not before a week’s prize pick up begins. 

&The last day to collect prizes is Saturday, August 3rd.  

&Participants who log at least 1800 minutes during the six-week program will receive a Certificate of Completion and be entered into a raffle for bonus prizes.
