Army 10 Miler #1

Multiple dated event.  01 May, 06 Jun and 01 August all will be hosted at 0600hrs at Marion Bonner Trail


Army Ten Miler Time Trials in order to pick team to represent JRTC & Fort Johnson in the 41st Army Ten Miler in DC on 12 October 2025.  Time trials are open to the public, however, team will only be selected from Active Duty personnel to represent the installation in DC.  

CELEBRATE 250 YEARS OF THE U.S. ARMY AT THE 41st ANNUAL ARMY TEN-MILER AT THE PENTAGON! 

 The 41st Annual Army Ten-Miler Race Date will be held on October 12, 2025, at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  Conducted by The U.S. Army Military District of Washington (MDW), the Army’s race is the third largest 10-mile road race in the world. The ATM starts and finishes at the Pentagon with a course that travels through Washington, D.C. Race proceeds benefit U.S. Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.

Recognized as one of the nation’s premier running events, hosting thousands of runners and their supporters, annually. The ATM has a course that is USA Track and Field certified, flat, and fast, the race is supported by nearly 2,000 volunteers. In addition to the Army’s Race in Washington, DC., the ATM Youth Run offers kids 12 and under a chance to have a fun run, directly following the main event. Deployed runners may also participate in the official ATM Shadow Run Series, which are held at a wide array of overseas military installations.

Army Ten-Miler In-Person Event – Use code GOARMY to save $5!

  • INDIVIDUALS: Runner Registration is open to everyone ages 13 years old and up. The cost of the ATM In-Person Individual General Registration is $89 plus processing fees.  Registration is open to the public, military, retirees, veterans, military dependents and all others. General Registration will remain open until sold out.
  • TEAMS: Larger running groups may register as an ATM Team. ATM Teams are a minimum of 4 runners and can have a maximum of 8 runners. Teams may may choose from several categories to compete in, for a chance to take home the category trophy. Team Runner Registration is limited and will close on August 22, 2025. 
  • YOUTH RUN: The ATM In-Person Youth Run is a non-competitive race event for children ages 12 years old and under.  The ATM Youth Run will be held, immediately following the Annual Army Ten-Miler, In-Person race at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  
  • PASTA DINNER: The Pasta Dinner is all about eating good food and having fun while preparing for race day. The dinner is traditionally attended by the Sergeant Major of the Army, Sergeants Major of the Reserve and Guard, and runners from around the world, as well as Wounded Warriors. 
  • ATM EXPO:  Two-Day event held annually in Washington, D.C. This free event kicks off Army Ten-Miler weekend and is open to all.  All In-Person runners must pick up their runner packets at the DC Armory, the scheduled locations of the 2025 Army Ten-Miler Expo.

  • INDIVIDUALS: The Army Ten-Miler, Virtual Edition Race is open to runners around the world, ages 0 – 120 yrs old. The ATM Virtual Race can be run in any location between the dates of Oct. 12 – Dec 31, 2025.
  • YOUTH RUN: The Youth Run is a non-competitive race event for 12 years old and under. All runners get to experience the pride of completing a virtual ATM Youth Run. Each registered runner receives a race bib, t-shirt and a medal.

Forge Fest Shooting Competition

Practical pistol shooting competition Ages 12+ for Fort Johnson and community Fees will be $20 per shooter per gun Sign in starts at 0800, safety brief at 0845, shooting begins at 0900 Authorized calibers are all common pistol calibers (absolutely no rifle calibers) pistol caliber carbines are allowed Participants will have to provide their own firearm, ammunition, and PPE (hearing protection and eye protection) This match will be a practical pistol shooting competition that focuses on speed, accuracy, and safety. Participants will engage in a series of stages, each designed to test various shooting skills including target acquisition and problem solving under pressure

GC 2 Gun Shoot

Event will be held at Range 23A Garrison Commander 2 Gun Shoot Event Details: Sign-in: 0800 Safety Briefing: 0845 Shooting Starts: 0900 This event is open to ages 12+ for both Fort Johnson personnel and the community. The participation fee is $20 per shooter. Requirements: Participants must bring their own firearms, ammunition, and PPE (hearing protection and eye protection). Commonly used calibers: Handgun: 9mm, .45 ACP, .40 S&W, 10mm Rifle: 5.56x45, .223 Remington, .308 Winchester Required firearms: Semi-automatic handgun and semi-automatic rifle (no .22 LR). A good form-fitting Kydex holster and at least three magazines per firearm are necessary. Competition Format: This will be a 2-gun competition that tests practical shooting abilities under pressure. Participants will engage in various stages designed to assess skills such as target acquisition, problem-solving, and transitioning between firearms. Additional Information: Participants should be prepared to stand, kneel, and go prone during the match.
