JRTC and Fort Polk FreedomFest

FreedomFest June 22nd 2019: Lady Antebellum with Special guest Everette!!

FREE and Open to the Public!

5PM at Headquarters Field! Enjoy music, food vendors, static displays, salute to the nation and the largest firework display in Louisiana!

Things you need to know:

1. Parking for non-DoD ID cardholders will be at Honor Field on HWY 10.  Directional signs from bother North and South on HWY 171 will direct you to designated shuttle bus parking. Honor field is approximately 2 miles once you turn on to HWY 10 from HWY 171.  Military Police will be on-site to assist you with parking and loading the correct shuttle bus.  The shuttle buses are air-conditioned.  Please have a government/state issued ID card when you arrive at Honor Field for anyone over the age of 16.  All persons entering a Federal Installation are subject to search.

2. If you need handicap parking please use Fort Polk's Main Gate off HWY 171.  Limited handicap parking will be on-site at Headquarters Field.  All shuttle bus locations will have handicap parking available.  

3. DOD ID cardholders can access Fort Polk from any gate.  You will be directed to the nearest shuttle bus parking lot.

• Allen Memorial Library/Educational Center
• Fort Polk Commissary/ The Exchange
• The Mission Training Center

4.  Fort Polk residents can drive to any of the following on-post locations to board a shuttle bus. 

• Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital
• Allen Memorial Library/Educational Center
• Fort Polk Commissary/ The Exchange
• The Mission Training Center

5. Shuttle buses will begin running at 4:30pm from all locations. 

WHAT TO BRING:

Blankets, LAWN CHAIRS, cash (ATMs will be on-site), sunscreen, strollers, and small-insulated cooler for infant formula or water and diaper bags.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

PETS, TENTS, CANOPIES, COOLERS, OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES, ALCOHOL, GLASS BOTTLES, WEAPONS, VIDEO CAMERAS, BACKPACKS OR LARGE BAGES, PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS WITH TELEPHOTO LENSES, AND PRSONAL FIREWORKS.
